The Tucson Senior Expo is set to take place at Casino Del Sol this Tuesday, Feb. 17, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This free event is designed to connect seniors and caregivers with more than 50 organizations specializing in senior care and services in Tucson and surrounding areas.
This event is crucial for Tucson’s senior population, which represents roughly 15.8% to 16.5% of the city’s residents, according to the most recent Arizona State Health Assessment data.. In the broader Tucson metro area, about 25% of the population is 60 and older.
Seniors in Arizona face challenges such as high suicide rates, food insecurity and a high prevalence of smoking among those with lower incomes. The expo aims to address these issues by providing access to experts and resources.
Attendees can receive free health screenings, including blood pressure, blood glucose and BMI checks. The event will also feature hourly prize drawings, giveaways, and complimentary refreshments.
The Tucson Senior Expo is supported by Gold Members including representatives from Addus Home Care, Arista Healthcare, Arizona Vascular Specialist, and many others who will provide information and resources to support seniors and caregivers.
“The Tucson Senior Expo is the perfect opportunity for attendees to connect with dozens of helpful organizations in their community dedicated to helping seniors,” said Brooke Sawyer, Senior Expos marketing coordinator. “It’s truly the perfect way to learn about the variety of services and products available for seniors in their community.”

The Senior Expos have long been a collaborative effort between public and private sectors to serve communities across Utah. Beginning over 20 years ago, the collaboration was formed to help the aging population in the state. The idea was to break down barriers between government, academia, senior care professionals, caregivers and seniors themselves to better serve their needs.
Senior Expos made its way to Arizona a few years ago, with events in Tucson, Phoenix, Chandler, Tempe, Glendale, Avondale, and North Scottsdale.
Tuesday’s Senior Expo is from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Casino Del Sol, 5655 W. Valencia Road. Admission is free. To learn more visit seniorexpousa.com
