On April 25, 2026, local bookstores in Tucson will be celebrating Independent Bookstore Day with fun activities and pop-ups. Independent Bookstore Day is recognized across the country and highlights the community that local stores operate in and build.
Here are a few local stores participating in the celebrations this Saturday:
Homeward Books Collective
Location: 3054 N. First Ave., Unit 8
Hours on Saturday, April 25: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Homeward Books Collective will have a live printing station where guests can bring in their own merchandise and print a logo with a hand-carved block.
They will also be hosting Why Choose: A Romance Bookstore and Calle Coffee pop-ups from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The bookshop is also offering a Solidarity Raffle: Customers can come in with a receipt from a purchase on April 25 at another independent bookstore to enter their raffle for a chance at a book prize.
Littlest Bookshop

Littlest Bookshop is where kids can go to do crafts and hear stories to celebrate Independent Bookstore Day on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Location: 5011 E. Fifth St.
Hours on Saturday, April 25: 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
A children’s bookstore opened just four years ago, Littlest Bookshop offers a variety of children’s books for all interests, from dragons to Einstein. Throughout the day, the store will have storytime and crafts, where kids can make and design buttons and bookmarks. There will also be a poetry station set up and a haiku activity.
Revolutionary Grounds
Location: 4675 E. Speedway Blvd.
Hours on Saturday, April 25: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Revolutionary Grounds is a shop that hosts events throughout the month and is home to new and used books ranging from fiction to poetry to plant information. The cafe and bookshop is decorated with local artwork and plants.
On Independent Bookstore Day, the shop is participating in “Find the Golden Ticket,” an event hosted by Libro.fm, a platform that allows users to gain access to audiobooks through a local bookstore. If a guest finds a golden ticket on April 25, they can go online to claim their grand prize of 12 free audiobook credits.
Bookstop Tucson

The Bookstop in Tucson has experienced new locations and new owners over its 59 years of operation. They are now celebrating a grand reopening on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Location: 214 N. Fourth Ave.
Hours on Saturday, April 25: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.
Bookstop Tucson has been open for 59 years and will hold a grand re-opening on Independent Bookstore Day to mark the start of a new era with new owners.
Bookshop Tucson will also launch their partnership with Libro.fm, where readers can listen to audiobooks from local bookstores.
Mostly Books
Location: 6208 E. Speedway Blvd.
Hours on Saturday, April 25: 9:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Mostly Books has been open since 1988, and customers can find new and used books alongside stationery and shirts.
On Saturday, April 25, Mostly Books will hide a golden ticket in their store in partnership with Libro.fm.
The store is also offering a 20% discount on new hardback books. Customers looking for a surprise can get a “free blind date with a book” on a purchase of $25 or more. The blind date will include an advanced reader copy of books coming out later in the month or year, with a short description of the genre and a vague synopsis of the book.
