Ruby Wray is a sophomore journalism student at the UA and the assistant news desk editor for Fall 2025 at the Daily Wildcat. Ruby previously worked in the Fall and Spring of 2024 as a news reporter, covering campus safety, local politics, and research. Her work spanned election coverage, UAPD, federal funding and post-election university changes. She is interning with Tucson Spotlight, a local nonprofit newsroom and has been writing and producing media since July. She tutors writing at the Think Tank Writing Center and helps run the School of Journalism Student Council. When she’s not in school, she enjoys reading, seeing live music, cooking and going to the movies with her friends. She aspires to work abroad and to pursue a career in writing and speaking, whether it be print journalism, foreign correspondence, publishing or investigative reporting.
