As the NCAA Division 1 Men’s Golf Championship approaches in less than two months, the University of Arizona men’s golf team is looking to capitalize on its successful season for motivation as they prepare for San Diego.
The No. 11 nationally ranked team will be relying on its international talent, with players from around the globe adding depth and diversity to the lineup. From Germany to China, these international players bring a unique perspective and a wealth of experience to the team, contributing to its success on the course.
Their camaraderie and shared passion for the game has not only strengthened the team’s competitive spirit but also fostered a natural calm composure.
Head Coach Jim Anderson says, “Our team has always demonstrated great composure, but I have been really impressed because we’re not actually that old.”
Comprising one senior, four juniors, three sophomores and one freshman, the team possesses a talented and experienced young nucleus eager to compete for a national championship.
We caught up with some of the international players, who shared where they are coming into the NCAAs.
